Jackson BETTY AMOUKO was designated as Chairman of the Board of Directors, following an extraordinary session held therein on 4th October, in Yaoundé.
There was tremendous effervescence at The Head Office of the National Mining Corporation this 4th October 2022, as the members of the Board of Directors were holding an extraordinary session following the appointment of a new administrator by the President of the Republic on 30th September 2022. At the end of the working session presided over by the Minister of Mines, Industry, and Technological Development, Gabriel DODO NDOKE, the newly appointed Board Chair was introduced. He is replacing Blaise Moussa, who had been promoted at the top Management of Cameroon Water Utilities (CAMWATER).
Jackson BETTY AMOUKO, a native of the East Region, is taking the lead of this Corporation at the time when SONAMINES, the State’s secular arm in the mining sector, is decisively committed to enter into production. According to the Minister of Mines, “the appointment of the 47-year-old expert in environmental matters is timely, SONAMINES being at the forefront in the implementation of measures related to the rehabilitation, the restoration and closing of mining sites abandoned by operating companies”.
Thus, the new Chairman was warmly welcomed into the great family of the National Mining Corporation. Welcome, Mister Chairman !
