SPECIAL RULES OF THE COMPETITION

ARTICLE 1. – Le Directeur Général de la Société Nationale des Mines lance un concours artistique pour la conception du Logo officiel de la SONAMINES ci-après dénommé « le concours ».

ARTICLE 2. - The competition is open from May 21 to June 04, 2021 to Cameroonian illustrators, designers, computer graphics artists and other amateur professionals in the field of visual and graphic arts.

ARTICLE 3 - The proposal of Logo will be done individually or collectively.

• In the case of a collective proposal, a representative shall be designated by letter duly signed by all the parties involved.

ARTICLE 4. – Les candidats intéressés ne soumettront qu’une (01) proposition par candidat.

ARTICLE 5.- The logo proposal, along with a completed entry form, must be submitted in four (4) copies in color on white A4 paper and in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop digital version (USB key, CD or any other electronic media ). It must have the following characteristics:

1) Originalité : le logo de SONAMINES ne doit pas être une déclinaison d’un autre logo ;

2) Lisibilité : le logo doit être lisible, c’est-à-dire facilement reconnaissable et mémorisable ;

3) Polyvalence : le logo doit être adaptable sur différents supports (un panneau publicitaire, une carte de visite, une icône sur smartphone). Il doit être reconnaissable même dans une seule couleur. Le logo doit être suffisamment lisible pour être identifiable sur des tailles ou des résolutions plus petites. Par exemple, lors de l’utilisation d’un favicon ou d’une photo de profil sur les réseaux sociaux ;

4) Spécificité et simplicité : ces aspects doivent permettre d’ancrer plus facilement le logo dans la mémoire du public cible et de l’identifier plus facilement.

ARTICLE 6.- The registration form and the present Special Rules of the Competition can be withdrawn at the Central Mail Service of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, 1st floor, local 155 at Immeuble Rose or on the SONAMINES website https:// sonamines.cm/concours-logo/ .

LAW 7. - There is no charge to participate in the Contest. No registration or participation fee will be charged for the collection or submission of entries.

ARTICLE 8. – La proposition de Logo du candidat ou du groupement de candidats devra être accompagnée :

• une déclaration sur l’honneur indiquant que le candidat ou le groupe est l’auteur ;
• a descriptive sheet of two (02) pages maximum in A4 format (21×29, 7cm);
• une photocopie du certificat d’enregistrement du demandeur ou de son mandataire, le cas échéant.
• the letter of appointment of the agent signed by all other co-bidders, if applicable.
• une photocopie de la carte nationale d’identité ou de celle du mandataire, le cas échéant.

ARTICLE 9 - The Logo proposal by the applicant or grouping must be original and unpublished. It must never have been the subject of a discount or award of any kind. The proposed Logo must be free of all rights in any way.

ARTICLE 10. - The logo proposals as well as the complete application files (physical and digital documents) must be deposited at the latest on Friday June 04th, 2021 at 15h00 . at the Central Mail Service of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, second floor, room 155, Immeuble Rose.

SECTION 11. - Logo proposals will be reviewed, evaluated, assessed and selected by a panel of judges through appropriate mechanisms.

ARTICLE 12. -The jury constituted pursuant to Article 11 above shall have a maximum of ten (10) days from Friday, June 4, 2021 to render its verdict.

ARTICLE 13. – The jury will proceed to a pre-selection of the 03 (three) best Logo proposals.

ARTICLE 14. - This contest will be awarded 03 (three) prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. The prizes, the amounts of which will be communicated later, will consist of financial endowments for the settlement of all rights.

ARTICLE 15. –The three pre-selected proposals will be submitted to the approval of the Board of Directors of SONAMINES who will award the prizes.

ARTICLE 16. - Thepublication of the results will be done after the awarding of the prizes by the Board of Directors of SONAMINES.

ARTICLE 17. –The first prize winning proposal will be the official logo of SONAMINES.

ARTICLE 18.- Logos containing mentions or indications likely to infringe on public decency, good morals and republican values will be systematically rejected.

ARTICLE 19. – The awarded logos become the property of SONAMINES. The laureates commit themselves to transfer to SONAMINES all rights related to their works.

ARTICLE 20. – Any dispute between the laureates and SONAMINES will be subject to an attempt at amicable settlement at the request of the provider. In case of failure of the amicable settlement attempt, the case will only be brought before the competent Cameroonian jurisdiction.

ARTICLE 21 – La participation à ce concours implique l’acceptation stricte et sans réserve du présent Règlement Particulier. /-
